A propulsive tour through a fantastical London, where history and myth collide, murder stalks the streets and the mundane becomes very magical indeed…The year is 1949, the city London. Amidst the smog of the capital is Dennis Knuckleyard, a hapless eighteen-year-old employed by a second-hand bookshop. Sometimes a book comes in that catches us all by surprise. We weren’t sure what to expect from this Joe Lycett book but oh my… what a masterpiece!

Personal favourites include portraits of Gail Platt, Priti Patel and Mick Hucknall but there are so many others to choose from along with a brilliantly funny narrative by Joe. The ideal talking point and coffee table book and a way to spend several hours on a Saturday afternoon.
